I am Rachel and I’m from Canada.
I didn’t always have a passion for sports or fitness. My journey began when I was in high school. I was pressured by a friend to try-out with her for a team sport. That’s when the ball started to roll. For the next four years I played on my high school’s basketball, volleyball, and soccer team and was also in my school’s dance company. Once I graduated high school I knew that I had the risk of becoming inactive again so I became a member at my local gym. At first I only attended a variety of fitness classes. Once I gained more confidence I began to exercise on my own. Soon I found myself in positions where friends and peers were asking for my advice, guidance, and wanting me as their workout buddy. These experiences have shown me the positive impact that fitness can have on someone, not just for their body and mind but affecting all aspects of their life! In university I studied International Development and Globalization. Although I have a passion for what I was studying it did not feel like it was the right career path for me. Upon moving to the Netherlands I used the opportunity to switch my career focus to another passion – fitness and health! I attended a personal training course in Amsterdam became an N.A.S.M. Certified Personal Trainer. I look forward to growing as a personal trainer and expanding my knowledge. This is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for a company that challenges and supports the continual growth both their clients and their employees.
